Natal

Aqui antes da festinha de Natal o João e o David fazem pose pra foto. Um fazendo palhacada pro outro rir e depois tentam ficar sério. São uma comédia esses dois!

Here, before the Christmas feast Joao and David pose for the camera. One is trying to make the other laugh and then they try to stay serious. These two are characters!

O David olhando com cara de: “O que está acontecendo?”

David now looking like: “What’s going on here?”

Agora ele faz pose e logo depois da foto vem o famoso: “Pai, deixa eu ver! Deixa eu veer!” Gostei da composicão e da luz no fundo.

Now he is posing for the camera and after that comes the famous: “Dad, let me see! Let me seee!” I liked the composition and the light in the back.

Nessa foto o David muito espontâneamente me abraca e eu rapidamente pego a câmera, viro de cabeca pra baixo e tiro a foto. Só depois que eu fui ver que a cara que ele fez foi engracada.

On this picture David was very espontaneous. He hugs me from my back. I took the camera, turned it upside down and shot. Only afterwards I saw the funny face David did.

Cuidado com ele!

Essa foi a primeira aula de Jiu-Jitsu do João. Resolvi ensinar alguma coisinha pra ele, já que ele quando cai, as vezes bate a cabeca. Pelo menos cair agora ele já sabe.

This was João’s first BJJ lesson. I decided to teach him a little ’cause sometimes when he falls, he bangs his head on the pavement and hurts himself. At least now he can fall properly.

Agora a gente posa pra foto que a Deh tirou. Ele foi muito bem na “aulinha” e está caindo muito bem e sem medo. Cuidado com ele!

Now pose for the camera. The “class” went well and he is falling properly and he is not afraid of falling (which is good). Here comes João!

Foto Panorâmica II

Essa foto foi outra montagem que eu fiz. Uma colagem de 11 fotos juntas que resultou nisso ai. A luminosidade não ficou muito boa, mas considerandos as circunstâncias até que eu fiquei satisfeito com o resultado final. Essa estátua fica em frente à biblioteca de Hyvinkää.

This picture is another colleage that I put together. I arranged 11 pictures and that’s the final result. I didn’t like the light on this colleage (got kind of unstable) but it came out pretty good, I think. This statue is in front of Hyvinkää’s library.

Inverno

A Deborah, o amor da minha vida, na volta do médico. Eu tentei enfatizar o céu nesta foto. Não mexi em nada no Photoshop, só na câmera mesmo eu conseguir dar este efeito que dei. Acho que ficou bom.

Deborah, the love of my life, coming back from the doctor. I tried to emphasize the sky on this picture. I didn’t use Photoshop or any other tool, just the camera itself and some adjustments I did were enough to get this effect. I think it came out pretty good.

Na mesma rua só que com outra configuracão. A foto agora ficou mais dramática e dá um sentimento de frieza à mesma. Foto tirada às 17:00 h.

On the same street but with another setup. The picture now gets a dramatic atmosphere which gives a colder feeling to the picture. Picture taken at 5.00 p.m.

Esta é nossa casa. Infelizmente não é possível ver nossa janela mas dá pra ter uma idéia de que tipo de visão temos todas as manhãs.

This is our house. Unfortunatelly we cannot see our window from this picture but it gives us an idea of the view we get all the mornings.

E finalmente uma outra rua perto de casa. As árvores estão carregadas de neve e muitas delas não puderam aguentar o peso. Resultado: mais de 1000 casas ficaram sem luz durante o fim-de-semana.

And finally another street neear ours. The trees were loaded with snow and many of those were not able to handle the weight. The result was that over 1000 houses were without electricity on that weekend.

Festa de Natal

No dia 27 de novembro realizamos a festa de Natal unida no corpo. Nesta ocasião tivemos 30 pessoas presentes e foi um momento onde estivemos em família, já que a maioria dos grupos que temos na igreja não tem nenhuma relacão uns com os outros. Depois da reunião sentamos à mesa e tomamos café com algumas comidas típicas do Natal finlandês.

On November 27 we had an united Christmas feast at the corps. On this occasion we had an attendance of 30 people and we had a moment where we were as family, since the groups in our congragation have no contact amongst each other. After the service we sat down and we had coffee and some other Christmas traditional food.

Nesta foto alguns de nossos amigos tomando café. Soldados, aderentes e amigos do Exército de Salvacão conversavam à mesa enquanto o café é servido.

On this picture some of our friends having coffee. Soldiers, adherents and Army friends talk around the table while the coffee is been served.
